Scientists have developed a new ‘super’ condom believed to be more sexually pleasurable than traditional contraceptives and also able to prevent HIV is being developed, according to scientists. According to the Scientists from the Texas A&M University Health Science Center , the new condom will be lined with a hydrogel product that is capable of killing the HIV-virus in the event of the condom breaking. It will also feature an antioxidant that enhances sexual pleasure. Head researcher Mahua Choudhury told the BBC: ‘People say they don’t want to use condoms because it doesn’t have the same sexual pleasure. ‘The anti-oxidant [in the condom] will enhance neurotransmitters which will work with nerve endings, giving greater sexual pleasure. ‘If the HIV virus gets into to the product, the condom will block it, prevent it replicating, and prevent entry [from the body].’ The condom is expected to go on sale next year, with researchers hoping to sell it for the affordable price of just $1. The development comes after HIV cases diagnosed in Europe reached a 30-year high of 142,000 in 2015. Good development. Source
