One of the elite Guards Brigade drafted to form part of the firing squad during the wreath laying ceremony for this year's Armed Forces Remembrance Day Celebrations by President Goodluck Jonathan in Abuja yesterday, Thursday December 15th provoked a suspicious stir when he was seen struggling with his riffle.
His gun was said have been lowered which made two Presidential Guards, who felt the fidgeting soldier had an ulterior motive, to swiftly form a human-shield around the President. Lol. The soldier later explained that his gun got stuck in the back of his belt, when another member of the Presidential Guard, made to pull him out from the column.
Meanwhile, President Jonathan was said to have been unperturbed about the incident which occurred close to him.
