How Nigerian Celebrities Will Spend Christmas
The yuletide is here. And Nigerian celebrities are warming up for celebration this season. They shared with us their plans for Christmas and New Year.
‘I will give back to my fans’ -HARRYSONG
At the moment I am preparing to take two days off to Abu-Dhabi for Christmas relaxation in advance because I have a lot of shows between December and January.
I am planning a session of giving back to my fans before December 25 because 2014 has been awesome and fruitful all by the grace and mercy of God.
‘I’m preparing for the season’ -QUEEN AYO BALOGUN
I am preparing very well for the season which I would say has started already. As entertainers, this is usually the busiest period for us. And by the special grace of God, I will be spending the largest percentage of the festive period on stage.
I have a lot of engagements and shows lined up. Even on Christmas day, I have a show. The same thing goes for Boxing Day. And that’s how it continues till the New Year. But no matter what, I will find time to celebrate with my family in-between.
‘I’m preparing’-ESSENCE
We are preparing. We will take it as it comes. I am still working and praying that 2015 turns out a very pleasant year.
I know I wouldn’t travel. I travelled for my sister’s 50th birthday sometime back. We will be having a family fanfair here in Nigeria. But I might travel during the New Year.
‘I am spending Christmas in Nigeria’
-RONKE OSHODI-OKE
I will not be travelling. My family and I have decided to spend the Christmas and New Year in Nigeria. We will just be together to eat and drink.
‘We are organizing a Christmas carol’ -FEMI OGEDENGBE
We are partnering LTV8 for a Christmas carol on December 23, while on the 19, there will be a mega rally around Ikeja, Lagos, to let Nigerians know of the Christmas carol celebration. I will be giving out free educative movies on HIV/AIDS stigmatization.
‘I would be working and resting’ -EBUBE NWAGBO
We are all preparing for Christmas and New Year. For me, it’s work, work and work. But I will still make out time to rest. I’m not really sure where I would be spending Christmas.
‘I have planned a charity’ -UTI NWACHUKWU
My friends and I have planned a charity called Utilly on December 17 at Surulere, Lagos. We plead with fans, friends and families to bring gifts to celebrate the festive season with them.
‘I’m prepared to have some rest’ -ELVIS CHUCKS
I’m prepared to have some rest – reading and relaxating basically. Will be visiting family and friends in the States and also in the Bahamas.
Also, I would love to use the opportunity to reach out to my fans via Twitter and Instagram to appreciate them for all their support throughout the year, especially my clients, they have been awesome.
‘I’m celebrating Christmas in Port-Harcourt’ -KIKELOMO KUOJO
I am preparing for both Christmas and New Year. Although, I am yet to shop for my wears and those of my son, I believe before the week runs out that will be sorted out.
But we’re not celebrating anything in Lagos. My son and I are going to Port Harcourt to celebrate Christmas and New Year with my aunty.
‘No serious preparation’ -LAWRENCE ONUZULIKE
No serious preparation. Last year I was on set shooting a movie during Christmas, so, this year, I will take things easy and spoil myself and my family a little.
I don’t think there will be any fanfare. I will have a quiet and relaxed Christmas with my family. But of course, my birthday which falls on December 28 will be hot as usual.
‘I will give my family a treat’ -EJIKE ASIEGBU
Yes, we are planning big for Christmas as usual. I will sure give my family a treat which they deserve because they’re the reason I toil day and night. The yuletide is always fun for me and my family.
K-Solo
‘I will spend Christmas in Dubai with my family’-K.SOLO
I am travelling to Dubai with my family to relax after a very stressful year. I plan to celebrate Christmas there, but I hope to be back by December 31, because I don’t miss praying in the church on the last day of the year.
Teddy Momoh
‘I will have fun with my family’ -TEDDY MOMOH
I will still do my work as usual but I am going to create little time for recreation so at least I would have time to enjoy myself.
I would definitely be celebrating it in Nigeria and will also take my big family out to have fun.
