The Kano State Government said it had concluded arrangements for the coronation and presentation of staff of office to the Emir of Kano, Alhaji Muhammad Sanusi II, scheduled for Saturday.
Alhaji Mailafia Sanka, the Special Adviser to the state Governor on Kano Emirate Council, disclosed this in Kano.
“The state government has made special arrangements for the grand occasion as prominent personalities from all walks of life are expected to grace the coronation,” Sanka said.
Already, he said, dignitaries from within and outside the country had started arriving for the grand occasion.
“The occasion will be held at the newly-constructed Coronation Hall located in the Government House,” he said.
NAN reports that Kano city is wearing a new look as eminent personalities have been arriving for the grand event widely described as the “Century Great Coronation”.
It can be recalled that Alhaji Muhammadu Sanusi II was appointed the 14th Emir of Kano on June 8, 2014, following the death of Emir Alhaji Ado Bayero on June 6, 2014.
