Julius Agu finally speaks on why he withdrew from contesting for Governorship

Following days of media speculations that ace comedian, Julius Agu has withdrawn from contesting in the 2015 Governorship elections in Rivers State, he has finally spoken on the issue. While speaking with Punchon the phone, he said he made the decision to shelf his political aspiration for now because of PDP's zoning system in Rivers State, adding that he wants to focus on his career.

"My people have asked me to drop my ambition because of a zoning arrangement within the PDP to produce the next governor of Rivers State from the riverine tribes."
"The reason is that I really want to concentrate on my career. I think I am going to forget about politics for now and focus on my career," he said.
He however said his kinsmen and fellow party men have given him the option of contesting for a seat in the State House of Assembly, but he might not accept the offer.

Meanwhile Muma Gee has declared her interest to represent the Abua/Odua and Ahoada East Constituency in the Federal House of Representatives on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, she has since picked up a nomination form.
