Russia Threatens To Ban Facebook By 2018

In a major development, Russia’s Federal Communications Agency has threatened to block Facebook access by 2018 if the social networking website doesn’t agree to store its data locally.

Alexander Zharov, Chief of Russia’s communication watchdog told agencies on Tuesday that they will work to ‘make Facebook comply with the law’ on personal data, where in foreign companies have an obligation to store their data locally in Russia.

Following Donald Trump's controversial tweet to North Korea, a tweet which has now been said to mean a declaration of war by North Korea's Foreign Minister Ri Yong Ho, Twitter has made it known that the tweet will not be removed.

Trump had tweeted on September 23, "Just heard Foreign Minister of North Korea speak at U.N. If he echoes thoughts of Little Rocket Man, they won't be around much longer!"


Twitter reacted to questions from it's users on why the tweet had not been taken down and in a series of tweets, twitter made it known that one of the factors that can see a post being deleted is the newsworthiness and public interest of the post.
