In honor of the Lunar New Year a shopping mall in northern China has planted an enormous statue of a dog that resembles President Donald Trump.

The statue, which is displayed at Fashion Walk Mall in Taiyuan, has been installed to celebrate the coming Year of the Dog.

The huge canine figure has Trump's, 71, signature golden hairstyle, prominent eyebrows and classic gesture.

The figure has one finger extended in the air in the President's classic pose and the dog is even wearing a red scarf, representative of Trump's power ties.

Although the statue represents the coming year of the dog in the Chinese zodiac, ironically Trump's Chinese astrological sign is also the year of dog, as he was born in 1946.

However, in Chinese culture, the year of your own animal isn't expected to be your best year. They regard it as bad luck if the zodiac animal of the current year is the same as the year you were born in. But why are people so hard on Trump.

President Muhammadu Buhari has said some Nigerian elite connived with foreign firms to defraud the country.

Buhari said this on Friday when he received a delegation of All Progressives Congress (APC) from Kebbi state in the presidential villa, Abuja.

The president said the elite colluded with foreign shipping firms, insurance companies and financial outfits to deplete the country’s foreign reserves.

He said: “When I was told that the CBN had no savings after the windfall of selling oil for more than 100 dollars per barrel for many years and production was 2.1 billion barrels per day, I did not believe them.

“I did not believe them because majority of Nigerians cannot afford imported food; they rely on what is locally grown. It turned out that 50 per cent of the export bills were fraudulent, courtesy of the Nigerian elite.

“Unfortunately, we will not know all that happened because the elite worked in collusion with institutions in developed countries like insurance firms, shipping companies and other financial outfits, to perpetuate the fraud.”

While observing that the country’s rice import bill has dropped significantly, he said: “Beyond self-sufficiency, Nigeria must strive to become net exporter of food commodities.

“We are not doing badly in the agriculture sector. Nigerians and indeed the world, are beginning to appreciate our efforts. We will work harder until we start exporting food.

“We are happy that rice and beans importation into the country have gone down by over 90 per cent, and everyone can see how productive states like Kebbi turned out to be and states like Lagos, Ogun and Ebonyi are following the example.”Chi chihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01249687460254771920noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4706147828810329661.post-62289839366616662062017-12-29T17:56:00.003-08:002017-12-29T17:56:30.745-08:00Churches and mosques to start paying taxes in Lagos

Religious organisations such as mosques, churches will now start paying taxes in Lagos.

A bill that would review the land use charge in Lagos state has gone through second reading on the floor of the state House of Assembly during plenary on Thursday, December 28.

The law tagged: “A Bill for A Law To Repeal The Land Use Charge Law 2001 and Enact Land Use Charge 2017 and For Connected Purposes” was subsequently committed to the House Ad-hoc Committee on Finance headed by Yinka Ogundimu representing Agege II.

Speaker of the House, Hon. After an 18-month investigation, Slidell police arrested 67-year-old Michael Neu on 269 counts of wire fraud and one count of money laundering, after he helped scam people out of thousands of dollars as a middleman in one of the well-known “Nigerian prince”internet scams, a Slidell police spokesman said in a news release Thursday.

Police say Neu was the “middle man” to an e-mail scam, where someone posing as a Nigerian prince claims the victim is the beneficiary in a will and set to inherit millions of dollars. They then ask for your personal financial information to prove that you are the beneficiary and to speed up the transfer of your alleged inheritance.

Neu is suspected of being a middle man who participated in hundreds of financial transactions that conned money from victims across the United States. Some of the money obtained by Neu was subsequently wired to co-conspirators in Nigeria.

The investigation is ongoing, but police said it is difficult because many leads point to suspects who live outside of the United States.

He only agreed to leave power after losing elections following pressure from West African mediators who sent troops in the country to force his hand and he's now living in exile in Equatorial Guinea.

A US Treasury statement said that during his 22 years in power he had a “history of engaging in serious human rights abuses and corruption”.

Jammeh created a terror and assassination squad called the Junglers that answered directly to him. Jammeh used the Junglers to threaten, terrorise, interrogate, and kill individuals whom Jammeh assessed to be threats. During his tenure, Jammeh used a number of corrupt schemes to plunder The Gambia’s state coffers or otherwise siphon off state funds for his personal gain. Ongoing investigations continue to reveal Jammeh’s large-scale theft from state coffers prior to his departure.”

Jammeh is among a host of world figures blacklisted by the President Donald Trump’s administration, including a business associate of Congolese President Joseph Kabila and an aide to South Sudan’s leader Salva Kiir.

She was stopped by police who thought she was wandering around the streets half - Unclad in the middle of the day.

In fact , Abbie Crawford was braving the icy temperatures in a tiny pair of hotpants that were obscured by her coat.

The 25- year - old, who went viral after confused locals in Newton - Le- Willows in Merseyside took photos of her , has revealed the trusty item of clothing is her ‘ pulling shorts. ’

She said : “They’ re my pulling shorts. I wear them when I crave attention – and obviously they never fail me . ”

Abbie added that she found it ‘ hilarious ’ that her favourite pair of shorts had got so much attention. She said : “I had my music in, so didn ’ t notice anyone saying anything or looking at me in a funny way.

“ My friend only just showed me the picture yesterday – I was stunned , I couldn ’ t believe it . ”

As Abbie walked along the pavement with her headphones, people stopped and stared , believing she had gone out without underwear.

Officers eventually caught up with Abbie and, after establishing she was , in fact , wearing clothes, advised her to dress appropriately .Chi chihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01249687460254771920noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4706147828810329661.post-81200010214030784942017-12-21T13:30:00.001-08:002017-12-21T13:30:09.648-08:00Woman convicted for reading husband’s emails without his permission

A woman has been convicted of accessing her husband’s email account and discovering he was having several affairs.

The Swiss woman became suspicious after her husband set up a second email account on their home computer, according to the Aargauer Zeitung.

The unnamed couple had always known each other’s passwords and had even written them down, according to the paper.

Her husband used one of these passwords for his new account, so the woman was able to access it and read his emails.

When she did, she discovered that he had been having affairs with several other women for some time.

She confronted her husband, who moved out of their apartment and later filed a criminal complaint against his wife for reading his emails.

In February this year prosecutors gave the woman a suspended fine of 9,900 Swiss Francs plus a 4,300 Swiss Franc fine for her unauthorized intrusion into her husband’s data.
The prosecutor said she deliberately and repeatedly invaded his email account and downloaded material that was not her own.

During her appeal at district court in Bremgarten, the woman’s lawyer insisted she didn’t hack into her husband’s email but instead accessed it through his password.

It emerged the woman had Googled to see if she would be prosecuted prior to reading her husband’s emails.

The court maintained the woman knew she was aware she could be breaking the law even though her search did not reveal a definitive answer on the subject.

The court upheld the conviction, saying unauthorized intrusion into someone else’s email account is illegal.

But her fine was reduced and the court acknowledged the woman had only shown “minimal criminal energy” since all she had to do to access the email account was to “exploit her husband’s carelessness” in using the password they both knew.

Swiss lawyer Martin Bürgi said it makes no difference whether the people involved are married, living together or don’t know each other at all, permission must be granted to read another person’s messages.

Reading data protected by a password or code without the account owner’s permission is illegal under article 143 of the Swiss criminal code, he said.

According to the code, such an act is punishable with a fine or up to three years in prison.Chi chihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01249687460254771920noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4706147828810329661.post-89720636803961959122017-12-21T13:29:00.000-08:002017-12-21T13:29:08.809-08:00Step aside Bobrisky! 'I was like "I don't want a world record, I want a baby!" But Ben was completely intrigued by it.

'Then later it hit me when they were about to do the transfer. I said, "you know, I'm just 25... me and her, we could've been best friends."'

Tina and Benjamin met at church, and dated for most of Tina's teens.

They got married seven years ago when Tina was 19 years old and Benjamin was 26, because Benjamin has cystic fibrosis (CF), a fatal respiratory disease with a life expectancy in the 30s, and they didn't want to lose time.

Since fertility is often impossible or highly complicated for CF sufferers, they decided they would adopt. They started fostering children in 2015, which they enjoyed, hosting half a dozen children in one year.

In May, between fostering, they were about to go on a couple's vacation, and Tina's father came round to look after their dog. As they were about to leave, he told them he had just heard about embryo adoption on a news report, meaning they could adopt and have the experience of pregnancy.

'I said, that sounds neat dad but we're really set on adoption,' Tina recalled.

'Me and Ben had known ever since we started dating that if we were ever going to start a family, we wouldn't be able to have our own children. We had made peace with that, we were happy and excited about adopting a child, and we had loved fostering. So I just said, neat but no.'

And yet, throughout the entire eight-hour car journey they were reeling. 'Both of us couldn't stop talking about it, thinking about it, imagining it,' Tina said.

'We watched every video, read every article... by the end of the trip we knew everything about it. But still, we decided at the end that we still wanted to do adoption, we didn't know what this was, and we'd spent so long thinking about adoption.'

However, for the next three months, neither could get it out of their heads.

'We weren't talking about it, but I was thinking about it every day. Then one day I came home and we were eating dinner and I said "I think we need to do the embryo adoption", and Ben said "I know, I've thought about it every day, I can't get it out of my head".'

After exploring their options, they decided they would adopt their embryo through the National Embryo Donation Center in Knoxville, Tennessee, which has led to 700 pregnancies since 2003 - more than any other organization in the world.

As of December 2016, Tina was taking hormonal injections so she could try for a transfer.

In February, they started the procedure to select their embryo. They were given a book with dozens of potential profiles, listing details of the parents at the time of conception - their weight, height, age, skin color.

Whittling it down felt impossible, they said. 'We really wanted to do it as soon as possible so were just tearing through them, trying to find anything that could be a no. We're both short, so anyone over six foot was out. Things like that,' Tina said.

After selecting 10, they had to pick three, and put them in order. But their order didn't work; all three need to have been frozen at similar times and been at similar stages of development. The center helped them rejig their selection, putting Emma first.

'I think it shows she was just meant to be ours,' Tina said.

From dailymailChi chihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01249687460254771920noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4706147828810329661.post-12429260482578004862017-12-21T11:07:00.003-08:002017-12-21T11:07:27.774-08:00Online Tabloid Lists Worst Performing Nigerian Ministers In 2017

2017 has been a wonderful year with so many intrigues. This is especially so when the performance of 36 ministers in Nigeria is examined.
Within the year, many of these ministers received endless banter, friendly jabs and commendations from Nigerians.

Based on the overall performance of the Buhari administration, their general assessment is poor.

It is important to note that this report is leaving out the junior ministers (minister of state). This is not because there are not important, but they usually follow the policy direction of the senior minister. But the situation of Mr Ibe Kachikwu is different.

Mr Abubakar Malami - Minister of Justice and Attorney General

It's time for Buhari to fire AGF Malamiplay
For most of part 2017, Mr Malami has always been in the media for a wrong reason. If he is not colluding with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to bungle anti-corruption cases, he will be found contradicting a government position.

He is expected to lead the much-awaited judicial reforms, but he seems not to understand the magnitude of the task at hand. The government has lost more cases to technicalities and improper investigation under his watch than another Minister of justice.

Mr Geoffrey Onyeama - Minister of Foreign Affairs

Mr Geoffrey Onyeama is not a public person. However, for the most time he did within the year, it is to contract the position of an official in his ministry or other government functionaries.

Nigeria’s foreign policy since 2015 has been in shambles on Onyeama’s desk, and a series of unclear deals between Nigeria and China point to this fact.

His inactiveness to Libya and many other issues that needed his prompt clearly confirm this.

Mr Adamu Adamu - Minister of Education

The activities of the education ministry in 2017 show Mr Adamu is more of a journalist than an administrator. The sector has not left its pre-2015 state, as there is no coherent policy to advance the quality of education.

Judging by the number of strikes by labour unions in his ministry, Mr Adamu is in the same non-performing status as the foreign affair minister.

Usani Usani Uguru - Minister of Niger Delta Affairs
Mr Usani can be literally described as the Invisible minister. He was nowhere to be found when his attention is most needed.

Mr Emmanuel Kachikwu – Nigeria’s Minister of State for Petroleum

He took over the duties of his ministry and played the role of peacemaker in a restive Niger Delta region all through the year.

It would be better Mr Usani’s ministry be seconded under Mr Kachikwu. This would allow for better performance of the ministry in maintaining peace in the region regarded as the country’s ‘cash cow’.

Dr Kayode Fayemi - Minister of Solid Minerals
Dr Kayode Fayemi was quiet throughout the year with no major achievement. He is always found promising to turn the solid minerals sector into a major economic power for Nigeria.

The Ajaokuta Steel company that most Nigerians expected would come to life this year, but there is a sign of revival under Dr Fayemi.

For most Nigerians, Dr Fayemi has been a minister that would announce a project with any trace of kick-off. And that is what we had from him all through the year.

Mr Adebayo Shittu - Minister of Communication

In 2017, Mr Shittu has done conference and summit attending than chatting a communication development for the country. Although, it is not surprising as his performance during the Senate screening tells it all.

The minister within the year is more concern about his gubernatorial ambition in Oyo state. Apart from not performing, the attempt at introducing telecom tax or increasing data price indicates Mr Shittu nothing to the table.

If there is going to be any cabinet reshufflement by this government, it is sure that Mr Shittu should one of those that would the exit door.

Mr Solomon Dalung - Minister of Youth and Sports

There is nothing that can be said of Mr Dalung's achievement in 2017. Although he paid major on relieving us of many worries like Mrs Patience Jonathan.

Everywhere you turn, sportsmen and sportswomen are complaining about a dearth of facilities and poor welfare. These are of no concern to the minister.

In 2017, Mr Dalung continues to give us more of his khaki attire and red berets with no recipe for success in sports administration.

Alhaji Lai Mohammed - Minister of Information and Culture

Lai Mohammed says Nigerians must take possession of anti-corruption warplay
In fact, 2017 was the year for Mr Lai Mohammed. He has continued to play his role of blaming the previous government for anything wrong in Nigeria.

It is known fact that Mr Lai basically knew how to get our attention away from the serious national issue.

“I have never told a lie before...,” Mr Lai told the country. He also planned using masquerades as sources of national income and asked why Big Brother Naija was shot in South Africa.

For an administration that has suffered from dysfunctional communication, Lai Mohammed has been the cherry on a soggy cake.

Dr Ogbonnaya Onu - Minister of Science and Technology

In the 21st century and internet age, the only achievement that a Nigerian minister of technology could think of is producing pencils.

It is a blank sheet for the minister in 2017.

Mrs Aisha Alhassan - Minister of Women Affairs

Just like Mr Shittu, something everyone can say about ‘Mama Taraba’ is that she is just biding her time in Abuja while awaiting another opportunity to make a governorship run.

For her in 2017, there is nothing significant to that she or her ministry achieved.

Mr Abdulrahman Dambazau Rtd - Interior Minister

Except announcing public holidays, there is nothing significant Mr Dambazau can say he worked in the year.

Although the country didn’t get a news of an orderly stooping to clean Dambazau’s shoes, Mainagate seems to be a good replacement for the year. The country is still battling porous borders, huge internal insecurity and no specific action to curtail the marauding herdsmen.

To many, Mr Dambazzu is actually having a retirement while being a minister in the country.

Mr Mohammed Bello - FCT Minister

In 2017, there is only one role Mr Bello played very well. And that is sending off and receiving President Buhari while travelling out of the country.

If only on this duty, he has performed creditably. Within the year, visitors to Abuja have complained of no Abuja’s street lights, high incidence of robbery in broad daylight and return of refuse heaps.

For the year, Mr Bello can be designated as the Minister of dignitaries.

from pulseng

*Do you agree with the list?Anyone missing?anyone who should be removed from this list.?Chi chihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01249687460254771920noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4706147828810329661.post-65571845365854581602017-12-21T11:05:00.003-08:002017-12-21T11:05:39.213-08:00Blac Chyna spotted with her rumoured new boo

Blac Chyna dated a series of black men and had a baby with one...but moved on to have a baby with Rob Kardashian then left him and continued dating black men..but it looks like her new man is white. “Instead of him (Masvinu) dealing with me concerning his winning prize, he went behind my back and manhandled the sponsor.

“We, therefore, had no choice but to dethrone him for dragging the name of the pageant into the mud,” David said.

Apama Styles added that the decision to dethrone Masvinu was arrived at after taking into consideration the fact that he had “repeatedly exhibited” violent tendencies at the Mr Ugly pageant over the years.

“This is not the first time Masvinu has engaged in violent activities at Mr Ugly. He once threatened another former sponsor — Devine Assignments director Biggie Chinoperekwei — over the same issue and for this reason we have to part ways with him,” Mr Ugly founder said.

Masvinu, on the other hand, claimed that David had converted the prize money to his personal use.

He said, “Apama took time to give us our money. Imagine since December 3 up to now. He only paid us $100 instead of $500.

“It is not easy to parade before the whole world showcasing your ugliness and in the end getting nothing for it.

He claimed that they reported the matter at Ruwa Police station in a bid to force Apama to release the prize money.

The 2015 Mr Ugly pageant almost degenerated into a brawl after Masvinu refused to concede defeat to Mison Sere. He argued that Sere’s ugliness wasn’t natural since it was based on missing teeth.

“That was not fair. How could he (Sere) win when he was number four the previous year?

“What has changed all of a sudden for him to win this time around?

“You made him the winner simply because of missing teeth. But does that define ugliness? Do you want me to remove some of my teeth to reclaim my position,” an agitated Masvinu said then.

A Roman Catholic priest in Milwaukee has come out as gay, writing that he will no longer live in the shadows of secrecy and plans to be authentic to his gay self.

The Rev.
