University Prof who claims discovery of HIV/AIDS cure petitions Senate over FG’s negligence

The university teacher who claimed to have discovered cure for HIV and AIDS, Prof. Maduike Ezeibe, has petitioned the Senate alleged Federal Government’s negligence. Ezeibe, a researcher in veterinary medicine at the Michael Okpara University, Umudike, Abia, said that he discovered the cure through his research conducted over several years.

Presenting the petition on Wednesday, Sen. Theodore Orji (PDP-Abia) said that the professor had said that attempts to get Ministry of Health’s cooperation on the discovery failed.

Divorcing Man Applies For Custody Of His Wife’s Breasts

Local man Simon Williams has applied for custody of his wife’s breasts as part of his divorce settlement according to online reports.

Describing the breasts as being of ‘great sentimental value’ in his submission, Simon said he’d happily give up any claim over the house for full custody.

Alternatively, his wife can have the car in return for access at weekends.

“Those breasts have been with me through thick and thin; a rock in times of needs and a pillow in times of comfort. My quality of life will decline substantially if I lose custody.”

Friend of medical doctor who committed suicide claims he was a sickler who suffered seizure attacks

 A friend of 35 year old medical doctor, Allwell Orji, who committed suicide on Sunday March 13th said he was a sickler and suffered from seizure attacks. Read what he wrote below

Hi, the deceased was my friend and I will like to remain anonymous pls. Dr Orji was an introvert because he was a sickler and he suffered from seizure attacks thus, he preferred keeping to himself. The social stigma (from the recurrent seizure attacks) was too high for him to bear. He used a driver because the seizure can come at any time.
He wanted to do residency in Surgery so he could become a Consultant, he wrote the exam and passed but was denied the opportunity because Hospital management felt he could not cope with the stress. He wasn't really on social media because he was quite antisocial thus, his profile and pictures were not on the internet. So from all indications, i think it was a case of severe depression that was poorly managed thus, he felt hopeless due to his challenges and decided to end it in a Lagoon.

Ivanka Trump’s Company Sued Because Her Dad is the President

A California-based retailer has filed a lawsuit claiming Ivanka’s company gets an unfair advantage because of her name’s association with the current president of the United States.

The class-action lawsuit, which was filed by Modern Appealing Clothing, claims Ivanka Trump Marks, LLC gained an unfair advantage over other retailers “from Donald J. Trump being the President of the United States and from Ivanka Trump and her husband, Jared, working for the President of the United States.”


The lawsuit claims the company got a boost in sales because of the president and his counselor, both of whom spoke out about Nordstrom’s decision to drop Ivanka’s line.

The company cites numbers from Lyst, an e-commerce aggregator, which showed the brand’s sales increased by 346 percent from January to February and 557 percent in February compared to the same time period last year.

The police on Monday re-arraigned Stephanie Otobo, the woman who claimed she had an affair with Apostle Johnson Suleiman, before a Tinubu Magistrates’ Court, Lagos.

Otobo, 23, was brought before Magistrate Kikelomo Bukola-Ayeye alongside Wisdom Godstime, 43, on a three-count charge of conspiracy, intent to steal, blackmail and threat to life.



The police on March 6 failed to obtain a remand order for the duo from the same court, following Magistrate Bukola-Ayeye’s ruling that there was insubstantial evidence to support the charge against them.

At the commencement of Monday’s proceedings, the prosecutor, M. A. Animashaun, said the defendants and others at large committed the alleged offence on February 14, 2016 at about 10:30 a.m. at Police College, Ikeja, Lagos.

The United States is banning electronic devices such as laptops and tablets from cabin luggage on certain flights originating from eight countries in the Middle East and North Africa, the Associated Press has reported.

The new rule, which is expected to be officially announced will take effect today.

It will apply to nonstop U.S.-bound flights from 10 international airports in the cities of Cairo in Egypt, Amman in Jordan, Kuwait City in Kuwait, Casablanca in Morocco, Doha in Qatar, Riyadh and Jeddah in Saudi Arabia, Istanbul in Turkey, and Abu Dhabi and Dubai in the United Arab Emirates.

Cindy Lee, 52, who is the candidate for the Pleasure Party in France, was handing out pamphlets and talking to voters while she was wearing just a pair of hotpants and tassels covering each nipple.

But her desire to shine a light on what she described as corruption in French politics did not go well, as she was arrested by 30 riot police officers who had mistaken her for a radical feminist activist.

University professor 'arrested for posing as Justin Bieber online to sexually exploit children'

 

A university law professor who posed as Justin Bieber online has been charged with almost 1,000 child sex offences.

Gordon Douglas Chalmers, 42, posed as the pop singer on Facebook and Skype to impersonate the pop star and persuade fans to send him explicit images, police say.


Chalmers, who worked at Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane, was first detained by Australian police after a tip off from their counterparts in Germany and the US.He was charged last November with offences including possessing child exploitation material and grooming persons under 16,News.com.Au reports.

Further examination of his laptop has uncovered the full scale of his shocking offending, police said.

Grandfather Slices Off Baby's Penis During Circumcision

Mr Ziworitin Keke, a 59-year old grandpa, has allegedly cut off part of the genitals of his eight-month-old grandson while circumcising the boy at Ondewari, a coastal settlement in Bayelsa.

The baby is currently receiving medical care at the Federal Medical Centre, Yenagoa, the Bayelsa capital.

It was learnt that Keke, a well known ‘specialist’ in circumcision in the area, almost “chopped off half of the baby’s genitals.”
